Arlington Public Art is organizing 3 special workshops for the Hardy School community for this year's Fox Festival Parade. Our theme is the school's mascot, the dolpin, and the health of our oceans. Our teacher will be artist and environmental activist Kari Percival (who made the illustration above).

HARDY SCHOOL WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
SUNDAY, JUNE 9, 1 to 2:30 pm
FAMILY WORKSHOP @ THE FOX LIBRARY
Create and decorate a giant dolphin puppet that will carry everyone’s small paintings and messages in the parade. What do dolphins need to survive? What are your wishes for the ocean? Plus, make your own dolphin puppet. OPTIONAL: create a postcard on ocean issues to send our elected representatives. Kids under 7 must be with an adult.
TUESDAY, JUNE 11, 1:15 to 2:15 pm
AFTERSCHOOL WORKSHOP AT THE HARDY
Stay afterschool to decorate a giant dolphin puppet that will carry everyone’s small paintings and messages in the parade. Make a sign or your own dolphin puppet.
THURSDAY, JUNE 13, 5 to 8 pm
HARDY SCHOOL FAMILY PICNIC (rain date: Friday, June 14)
Join us for an open air workshop at the school’s end of year celebration. Make ocean crowns to wear in the Fox Festival Parade. OPTIONAL: make a postcard on ocean issues to our elected representatives. Kids under 7 must be with an adult.
